Verasity
Verasity (VRA) is a token designed to make video advertising fair. Launched in 2018 on Ethereum, it rewards viewers and protects publishers using a patented “Proof of View” system. This technology helps ensure ads are seen by real people and cuts down on fraud, making online video ads more trustworthy and effective.
A Deeper Dive

Technology & Use Case
Verasity uses a patented system called Proof of View (PoV) to confirm that video views are genuine, not bots. It's built on Ethereum and powers Verasity’s video ad platform, VeraViews, which helps advertisers verify real engagement. This boosts confidence and fairness by making sure ads are seen by real people.
Origins & Team
Verasity launched in May 2018 as an Ethereum token, later upgrading to ERC‑777. The project was founded by RJ Mark, aiming to fight digital ad fraud. While there isn’t a widely promoted team roster, the platform is backed by an active community and originally built to serve content creators and advertisers fairly.
Ecosystem & Partnerships
Verasity supports real use through its VeraWallet (secure staking wallet), VeraPay, and VeraCard for payments. It runs VeraViews, and powers VeraEsports, a platform streaming esports with ad revenue sharing. Notably, Verasity burned 10 billion tokens (50% of its strategic reserve) in 2023 to limit circulating supply and protect value.
