SingularityNET
SingularityNET (AGIX) is a token that powers a decentralized AI marketplace. Launched after its initial sale in 2017 and upgraded in 2021, it lets people buy AI services and participate in network decisions such as technical changes or new features. With AGIX, creators offer AI tools and users access them—building a fair, global system for innovation.
A Deeper Dive

Technology & Use Case
SingularityNET connects AI developers and users in a digital marketplace built on blockchain. AGIX tokens are used to pay for AI services and help govern the platform. This allows anyone to offer or use AI tools—like algorithms for speech, vision, or decision-making—without relying on big tech companies.
Origins & Team
SingularityNET was founded by AI expert Dr. Ben Goertzel (also known for the robot Sophia), along with Simone Giacomelli and Dr. David Hanson. The project began in 2017 with an ICO (Initial Coin Offering) that raised around $36 million. In 2021, the team transitioned from the old AGI token to AGIX, doubling the max supply to 2 billion and expanding onto the Cardano blockchain
Ecosystem & Partnerships
Beyond the AI marketplace, SingularityNET has helped create projects like SingularityDAO (for AI-powered DeFi management) and NuNet (a decentralized computing platform)—both incubated within its ecosystem. The platform also continues partnering with innovators in robotics, data, and AI to grow use and governance.
