XRP

Payments and asset transfers.

XRP is the native asset of the XRP Ledger, a public network used for payments and other asset transactions.

What is XRP?

The XRP Ledger is a public blockchain, and XRP is its native asset. The ledger supports payments and other asset activity. XRP, the network, and the company Ripple are related names, but they do not describe the same thing.

Holding XRP is different from owning shares in Ripple. Confirm the destination and any required account details before sending assets.
