What is Tellor?
Tellor participants submit and validate data, with mechanisms for challenging disputed reports. Its current oracle chain uses TRB in network security and delegation. This differs from the older Ethereum-based reporting and reward system.
Oracle mechanisms cannot guarantee correct or timely data. Participants can face penalties, locked funds, and token-price losses; legacy and current networks have different rules.

Origins & development
Tellor first deployed in 2019. In May 2026 it announced that reporter rewards had fully transitioned to its own oracle chain; legacy Ethereum feeds can still operate with different incentives.
